10 hp 184 gpm Single Stage Centrifugal Slurry Pump
Hevvy Toyo HNS 10 HP Submersible Slurry Pump with Agitator (575V) — Factory-Warranted Service 2024
Item Overview
This is a heavy-duty Hevvy/Toyo submersible slurry pump, manufactured in August 2022 and returned to the factory for a full warranted service in October 2024. Toyo pumps are world-renowned for their ability to pump heavy slurries, sand, gravel, and sludge in the most demanding mining and industrial applications. This unit features the signature Toyo agitator (visible protruding from the bottom strainer), which mechanically kicks up settled solids into the pump suction — a critical feature for sump cleanout and tailings applications.
The 2024 factory service report (Toyo SRO S-699, prepared by Madeline Williams, EIT) provides full transparency on the pump's condition. The stator winding was replaced under warranty due to an isolated magnet wire enamel breakdown at manufacture. The wet-end was inspected and found in excellent condition with minimal wear — the failure was purely electrical and did not affect the pump's hydraulic components. A full hydraulic performance test was completed post-repair to verify the pump curve.

Application & Features
The "HNS" series represents Hevvy's heavy-duty submersible line. The "HC" in the model number designates High Chrome metallurgy for the wet-end components, providing extreme abrasion resistance for mining and oil sands applications.
The built-in agitator fluidizes settled solids, allowing the pump to handle high concentrations of abrasive slurries that would clog standard dewatering pumps. With a 1.35 Service Factor and Class H insulation, the motor is built to withstand heavy loads and high temperatures. The 575V configuration is standard for Canadian industrial and mining sites. This pump is ideal for mine dewatering, tailings ponds, sump cleanout, dredging, and heavy industrial wastewater applications.
