This is a new, factory-crated TowHaul 3 7/8" Trunnion Pin, part number 1728-01, shipped directly from TowHaul Corporation (Bozeman, Montana) to Fort McKay Logistics / Suncor Procurement (Edmonton, AB). The pin is in its original TowHaul-branded wooden shipping crate, unopened and unused.
The trunnion pin is the critical connecting pin on a TowHaul Gooseneck towing assembly. It inserts through the gooseneck's trunnion housing and engages the receiver bracket mounted on the haul truck's front bumper, creating the mechanical tow connection between the TowHaul unit and the disabled haul truck. The 3 7/8" (Large Trunnion) designation refers to the pin diameter and identifies this as the heavy-duty version used on TowHaul units configured for ultra-class and large-class haul trucks.
The Large Trunnion configuration is used on TowHaul Gooseneck and Lowboy units designed to tow large-class haul trucks such as the Caterpillar 793, 795, 797, Komatsu 830E, 860E, 930E, Liebherr T264, and similar 200–400 ton class trucks.
