These are six new, uninstalled Eaton OEM Shunt Kits for the Eaton 6702ED700-3 AVD (Arc Voltage Drop) DC Control Contactor — one of the most critical wear-part renewal kits for this heavy-duty mining contactor. The R81255D2 shunt kit contains the copper shunt assemblies (flexible braided copper conductors) that connect the moving contact carrier to the fixed terminal, allowing the contact arm to travel freely through its full stroke while maintaining a low-resistance electrical path. Shunts are a scheduled maintenance item on AVD contactors and must be replaced when they show signs of fraying, heat discoloration, or increased resistance.

The Eaton 6702ED700-3 is a large-frame, single-pole, normally open, load-break, bi-directional DC contactor rated at:

This contactor is a definite-purpose, heavy-duty DC contactor designed for demanding applications including P&H and Komatsu electric mining shovels, railway traction systems, and other high-current DC drive applications. It is engineered to meet demanding shock, vibration, temperature, and environmental requirements. The 6702ED700-3 is used in the main drive and propel contactor panels of P&H 4100XPC, 2800XPC, and 2300XPC electric rope shovels, where reliable DC switching is critical to continuous production.

The "SHUNT 2=1" designation on the kit label indicates this kit contains 2 shunts per contactor pole — the standard replacement set for one contactor.
